I’ve always been a fan of Posh, so when I was
approached by the magazine from my hometown
about a Fall/Winter collaboration, I was thrilled!
I work as a floral designer out of Nashville, Tenn., and
I enjoy bringing a natural approach to floral arranging
with the use of large blooms, seasonal elements and
a garden style design.
STORY BY ELIZABETH EARNEST & PHOTOGRAPHY BY CASSIDY CARSON

For our winter palette we used a soft ivory table cloth
with a loose unbleached linen runner.
To make the deep reds and greens of the arrangement
pop, we went with robin’s egg blue place settings with
charcoal gray salad plates to draw attention to the
seasonal tones.
Foliage and flowers used for
the winter arrangement: Winter Berry, Red Dalias, Russian Olive, Red Leucadendron, Grevillea ivanhoe, Various Types Of Cedar & Spruce.
I’m greatly inspired by nature, color and the flowers
themselves. With that I hope to take their natural beauty and
design a space to create a feel that is wild, yet refined.
In this shoot I had the opportunity to work with my friend
Cassidy Carson, who is a phenomenal film photographer in
Nashville.
Our inspiration for the design of the two seasons was to use
complementary colors that really made each hue stand out,
while staying within the themes of winter and fall.
For our fall table scape we used a velvet golden brown table
cloth as our statement color. With that in mind we pulled
elements of ivories, lavenders, and plums to complement and
coordinated with copper silverware and bone white china.
Cassidy came up with the creative idea to design the table in
my greenhouse, which has stirred the possibility of future
dinner parties!
Foliage and flowers used for the fall arrangement: Cafe Au Lait Dahlias, Chocolate Lisianthus, Wheat, Garden Roses, Russian Olive, Chocolate Queen Anne's Lace, Hydrangea, Cosmos, Golden Amaranthus.
